Facilities for the Disabled
There is an access ramp and handrail at the rear entrance to the premises. Please ring the bell for attention.
There is a Consulting Room on the Ground Floor for any patients unable to climb the stairs and also a fully equipped Disabled Toilet.

If you have any special needs please let our staff know so that we can help you, and also ensure you get the same support in the future.

Facilities for Children
There is a well stocked play area on the Ground Floor. Please do not leave children unsupervised and we appreciate it if the area is left tidy.

Disabled parking – Blue badge scheme
The Blue Badge Scheme is for people with severe mobility problems. It allows Blue Badge holders to park close to where they need to go. For more information and an Application Form visit your local council office.

Loop system

Guide Dogs
Guide dogs are welcome at the Practice but we ask that you be aware of other patients and staff who may have an allergy or fear of dogs. Please visit the guide dog website for further information.

West Lancashire now has an Extended Access service running 7 days a week from 18:30 -20:00 Monday –Friday, 10:00 – 14:00 on Saturdays and 10:00 – 13:00 on Sundays. You can book one of these appointments by contacting reception. We have the availability to book appointments with a GP, ANP, PN, HCA and a Phlebotomist.

The service runs from various locations on weeknights and from 3 hubs in West Lancs on the weekend:

-Burscough Health Centre
-Ormskirk Medical Practice
-Sandy Lane Health Centre

The service offers pre-bookable and same -day primary care appointments with a range of clinicians including GPs, Nurses and Health Care Assistants. Appointments are available to all patients that are registered in West Lancs and can be booked by contacting reception.

Please be aware that this is not a walk-in service – you must have an appointment.
